Old Growth

2021  •  publication design  •  Old Growth is a digital cartoon series by Lorne Craig. It was created in response to the continuing destruction of ancient forests in British Colombia, Canada, where 75% of productive old growth forests have already been logged. Interior book design work was commissioned for this limited print edition which compiles the comics alongside additional commentary and information. A simple, but flexible grid was developed to compliment the square aspect ratio of its accompanying comic with wood-type inspired typography and muted color tones to compliment the vibrant comics.
